Australia's biggest and most important international tourism event, the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE), returns to Sydney in 2013.

Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer, Sandra Chipchase, said she was proud and excited that ATE will be returning to Sydney for the second time in three years, from 26 - 30 April 2013.

“Destination NSW and our tourism operators from across New South Wales are looking forward to welcoming international and local tourism industry representatives to Australia’s only truly global city,” Ms Chipchase said.

"We are delighted to host the event in Sydney again next year and the Destination NSW team has already started preparations for the event to ensure international buyers and the world’s leading travel trade media can discover new and exciting experiences in Sydney and NSW.

“The NSW tourism industry is primed and eager to capitalise on the business opportunities that will be created by ATE and we will be working very closely with Tourism Australia and sponsors to ensure delegates receive a very warm welcome to Sydney.

“The Destination NSW stand hosting over 40 tourism operators at this year’s event in Perth has generated significant interest from buyers and I’m pleased to report that Sydney and the State of NSW remains as a must-do and highlight destination experience for travellers from key international markets.

“ATE is the largest international travel trade show of its kind in the southern hemisphere and we will be working hard to make the Sydney event in 2013 the best yet, casting a global spotlight on Sydney and NSW yet again,” Ms Chipchase said.
