Visitor profiles and accommodation reports for Local Government Areas (LGA) across regional NSW are available below. The profiles are a useful resource for marketing and planning at the local destination level.
Visitor profiles
Tourism Research Australia annually produces Local Government Area Visitor Profiles, the latest being for year ended December 2019. These profiles show the number of visitors to an LGA, broken down by the three key source markets of domestic day-trips, domestic overnight visitors and international visitors. Each source market is measured in terms of the number of visitors, visitor nights and expenditure.
Information is available on the following visitor characteristics:
- Purpose of trip
- Origin of visitor
- Accommodation used
- Travel party type
