RVEF Contestable Fund

The Regional Visitor Economy Fund (RVEF) was launched in May 2013 to address a range of issues affecting tourism to regional NSW identified in the NSW Government’s Visitor Economy Industry Action Plan (December 2012).

The current RVEF program has now closed.

The NSW Government announced, on 2 December 2016, the Regional Tourism Fund

Below are recipients of RVEF Contestable funding to date. Contestable funding was available for Regional Tourism Organisations, Local Tourism Organisations, Industry or Sector Associations, local government and industry.


Round One - 2015-2016 RVEF Contestable Fund

  • Wollongong City of Innovation Ltd: The Grand Pacific Drive Digital Revitalisation Project - $75,000
  • Port Stephens Tourism Limited:  Destination Appeal Program – Newcastle & Port Stephens - $70,000

  • Mudgee Regional Tourism Incorporated: Destination Marketing Campaign – “Reset Your Senses in the Mudgee Region” - $120,000
  • Port Stephens Tourism Limited: The Port Stephens Destination Marketing Program - $197,000

  • Moss Vale & Rural Chamber of Commerce: Southern Highlands Food and Wine Clusters Launch & Accommodation Packages - $60,000
